Meet our founder: Pieter van Baren

A true nature enthusiast, Pieter grew up in Curaçao with a veterinarian father who instilled in him a deep love for animals, plants, and the outdoors. From exploring reefs to working the land, Pieter developed a profound connection to nature and a strong network that allows him to make real change.

With a degree in Tropical Agriculture and experience around the world, Pieter founded Agrinature in 2017 to bring both knowledge and eco-friendly solutions to the Caribbean. Beyond the company, he advises the WWF Netherlands and leads initiatives in sustainable fisheries, coral reef conservation, and food security.

His mission: inspire conscious living and make sustainability practical, impactful, and accessible for the region. For today and for generations to come.
